  1. I do not know the ins/outs of the 911 call response/dispatch.

Only that in the 90s we’d call 911 and get a response, prior to the 90s, back in the 80s/70s/60s we’d call “O” for the operator “I have an emergency & need Fire/Police/Ambulance” – help came.

There was no special charge. Such came later in the 90s per line. With Cells the number of lines per family skyrocketed, not a one but 2/3/4/5/6…. . Fees for 911 per month – if adding up all the lines seemed to increase dramatically. How much is collected for 911 gross? Yet, I keep hearing about the 911 system being perpetually outdated/insufficient? So the feeding trough of funds coming to 911 grows and 911 needs more & more? I did not know Norwood had a separate such operation – so the 911 fee you pay per line how is that dissected used by the county/city?
